Dark Plug

Dark Plug is the My Own Blend line's dark blend offered in pressed plug form. It contains Virginia, burley, and cavendish leaves along with a share of fire-cured Kentucky; the mixture is rested and compressed into rectangular blocks. Thin slices are cut from the plug with a knife and rubbed out in the palm before packing.

Pressing and resting fuse the flavors together: burley gives an earthy, nutty base, Kentucky a smoky frame, and Virginia dark sweetness. In nicotine and fullness it sits above the mild blends; it suits those unafraid of working with plug tobaccos who want a slow, cool smoke.
