Bold & Strong

Bold & Strong is the stoutest member of the Blender's Collection series bearing the name of Danish blender Per Georg Jensen. The series consists of tobaccos carrying no top-note flavoring and given almost no casing, aiming to offer pure leaf that can be smoked on its own or mixed into personal blends. This blend sets rustica leaf — whose nicotine content runs markedly higher than traditional tobaccos — alongside Virginia and burley leaf, and is presented as a loosened ready-rubbed cut. Although the brand's name draws on Danish pipe tradition, the series is produced in the US at Sutliff's facilities.

The taste runs along the leaf's own salty, earthy, herbal line unflavored; rustica pulls both fullness and sharpness markedly upward.
