Three Swords is a Virginia-perique blend within the Viking Collection series released under Per G. Jensen's name. Its base is built from select red and light-colored Virginia leaves, topped with genuine perique from Louisiana's St. James parish. To expand on the classic VaPer mold, the blender also added rustica and fire-cured Kentucky leaf to the mixture.
The Virginia leaf carries a bready, fruity sweetness from natural sugar, over which the perique layers a spice line toward pepper and dried plum. Rustica and Kentucky pull both the body and the nicotine load upward, adding a measured smokiness to the blend. It suits smokers seeking the familiar Virginia-perique structure in a fuller, smokier form.
