Blend No.52 is a Burley blend Robert Peretti created in 1947 after returning from naval service following World War II. It stayed on sale until roughly 1960, then dropped from the catalog, and years later was brought back into production when the shop's old formula ledgers were revisited. Its composition consists of Burley, red Virginia, and a Turkish tobacco called Dubeck.

Per the maker's recipe, the blend's backbone is built from Burley's deep, nutty taste; red Virginia adds a natural sweetness that softens this taste, while Dubeck, used in a small amount, being the mildest form of Turkish tobacco since it comes from the plant's top leaves, adds a fine sharpness to the mixture. With its unflavored body ranging from light to medium, it suits newcomers to Burley blends and those seeking a low-nicotine but flavor-full everyday tobacco.
