Cuban Mixture

Cuban Mixture is, per L.J. Peretti's own description, the house's oldest mixture, created at the turn of the century, made up of a combination of seven distinct tobaccos. The base is granulated Burley; with its slow burn and cool smoke, Burley forms the backbone of Peretti's American-type blends. Virginia and Oriental leaves added on top bring sweetness and spice, while the blend carries a light enough flavoring that it isn't quite unflavored; it is described as both natural and borderline aromatic.

Its character is layered and variable, with no single leaf dominating. It suits smokers who want a Burley-based blend without heavy flavoring but who find fully bare Virginia blends plain. The ribbon cut makes packing easy and gives a burn suited to all-day smoking.
