Curly Special

Curly Special is a blend the Cologne-based house Peter Heinrichs prepares by twisting Virginia and Perique leaf like a rope. The twisted tobacco is cut into slices about the size of a small coin; because each slice carries a complete cross-section of all the blend's components, it forms a whole mixture on its own. This structure noticeably slows the burn.

In the flavor profile, Virginia's classic bready sweetness leads; since the Perique proportion is kept measured, raisin, plum, and light spice notes are noticeable but not dominant.
