Black Cavendish (No.201)

PS201 is Peter Stokkebye's bulk tobacco made entirely from black Cavendish leaf. Only a pinch of vanilla bean extract is applied on top; the dark color and sweetness come mainly from the Cavendish process itself, meaning the leaf being matured under heat and pressure. The cut is loose ribbon and moisture is relatively high.

Smoked on its own it is a cool, low-nicotine, mild tobacco with flavor intensity kept low. Its main use is as a blending component: added to other mixtures, it contributes sweetness and a cooler burn, softening the harshness of sharper leaves. It is aimed at smokers who blend their own mixtures and those seeking a very light aromatic.
