English Luxury (No.17)

English Luxury is one of the blends carried over into today's line from the production Peter Stokkebye founded in the 1970s. Soft Georgia Virginias, black Cavendish, Mexican Burley, and Cyprus Latakia are all used together. The Latakia proportion is kept measured enough that its smoky taste doesn't overwhelm the blend; Cavendish adds a light sweetness and a cool burn to the base.

Its body sits between light and medium; Latakia's earthy, mushroomy side is noticeable but stays milder than in classic English blends. It is a good entry-level record for those trying Latakia for the first time and those who find heavy smoky blends tiring.
