French Vanilla (No.9-F)

French Vanilla is built on Stokkebye's traditional Cavendish base: Virginia and Burley leaves are pressed and sliced, then opened into a loose cut. Zimbabwe-origin flue-cured leaves are also part of the blend. Brand records indicate the vanilla flavoring used in this blend is twice as intense as its stablemate Vanilla Creme.

The vanilla scent from the pouch and in the room is strong; by contrast, the taste in the mouth stays more measured than the scent promises, and the tobacco's own sweetness is noticeable. The body is light. It suits smokers seeking a pronounced vanilla aromatic as well as newcomers to the pipe.
