Balkan Delight

Balkan Delight is a ribbon-cut Latakia blend built by adding a generous amount of Cyprus Latakia and a small amount of Louisiana Perique to Virginia leaf. Records indicate the blend was later continued under the name Balkan Mixture, with the Balkan Delight name discontinued; the composition is described along the same lines.

Latakia's smoky, woody taste shows itself on the first draw, but not so heavily as to overwhelm Virginia's sugar; Perique leaves a peppery sharpness in the background. Nicotine strength is medium.
