Dark Flake

Dark Flake is a pressed, sliced blend made from selected dark Virginia leaves with a small amount of Perique added for spicy sharpness. Compared to the same brand's unflavored Virginia called Flake, it is built fuller in both flavor and nicotine; it is just as easy to prepare.

Smoked slowly, Perique's tart, peppery side becomes pronounced; fruity and bready notes from the Virginia range broadly from light to dark. Beyond a very light sweetening it carries no heavy flavoring. It suits smokers who like the Virginia-Perique line, who pack by rubbing or folding the slice, and who are considering aging it in the tin.
