Standard Mixture is an English blend previously produced under the Dunhill name; when Dunhill's tobacco line changed hands it moved to Peterson with the same recipe and tin design. Cyprus Latakia, Turkish-origin Oriental leaf, and fire-cured Virginia are lightly toasted together; it is presented as a ribbon cut in 50 gram tins.
It has a medium-bodied, nutty, mellow character; Latakia is present in the blend but not dominant the way it is in Nightcap. It suits smokers looking for a balanced English blend for all-day smoking, and is built fuller than its stablemate Standard Mixture Medium.
