Wild Atlantic

Wild Atlantic is an English blend built on Virginia and Oriental leaf with a smaller proportion of Latakia added on top. It is a ribbon cut, presented in 40 gram pouches; the difference in leaf color and cut is visible to the naked eye. When the pouch is first opened it gives off an intense, Oriental-dominant scent; as it airs, a note recalling dried fig comes forward.

It is moisture-balanced enough to smoke without going out. Its strength is between light and medium, and its flavor is between medium and intense. It suits smokers seeking English blends where Latakia is kept in modest amount and the Oriental character comes through. The room note is strong and needs care indoors.
