Anno MMXII is the 2012 installment of the annual "year tobacco" limited series from the Berlin house Planta. Its body is built from sun-ripened Virginia leaf, light-colored Burley, and double-fermented black Cavendish; a sweet-fruity casing from African marula fruit and a light clove-and-pepper spice note are applied on top.
Reports indicate the casing is pronounced enough to stand ahead of the tobacco's own taste, while nicotine stays measured. It is a product for smokers who enjoy intensely flavored, sweet fruity mixtures and collect annual limited editions; being a limited edition, it is not continuously available on the market.
