The Happy Hour mixture in the Bank of England line is one of Planta's unflavored English-style products. Latakia and a small amount of Oriental and Java tobacco are added to Virginia leaf ranging from light to medium brown; no flavoring is used. The cut is a loose ribbon.

Its character rests on a measured smoke and spice sitting atop a sweetish Virginia base; strength falls in the medium-to-above-medium range. It suits smokers familiar with classic Latakia-based English mixtures. Planta's Berlin production ended in 2019, with the brands passing to Danish Mac Baren; this mixture reportedly does not appear in the current catalogue.
