Cellini Classico is the base blend of Planta's Italian-inspired aromatic line. Light golden Virginia leaf is combined with dark black Cavendish, accompanied by Burley; leaf sourced from Tuscany and Umbria is reportedly used. A casing giving orange and floral notes is applied on top.
It is a loose cut, low in strength, with pronounced flavoring. It suits smokers looking for sweet, citrusy aromatics, including newcomers to the pipe. Planta was founded in 1956 in Berlin-Spandau, ended its Berlin production in 2019, and production of the brands continues with the original recipes under Mac Baren.
