Farmer Tabak is an unflavored mixture that has long been part of Planta's catalogue. It consists of a balanced combination of US-origin Virginia leaf and Kentucky-Burley tobaccos; its taste is full and spicy. Its fibers are thicker and longer than other pipe tobaccos, and its cut is broad.
Because of this broad cut, it is used not only in pipes but also for roll-your-own cigarettes. Nicotine is pronounced, making it suited to smokers used to full-bodied, unflavored tobacco. It is sold in 50- and 160-gram tins; after the brand's Berlin production ended, production continued under Mac Baren.
