George Washington Cut Plug is an American pipe tobacco produced since the early twentieth century at R.J. Reynolds' Winston-Salem factory, also known for its tins. Burley forms its core; some Virginia and Cavendish are added, along with a light molasses- or caramel-type flavoring. Despite its name, its cut comes ready-rubbed rather than as a plug.
