7 Reserve

7 Reserve is a light-bodied English blend from the brand in which Virginia leaf is worked with a generous amount of Oriental tobacco, with a small amount of Latakia added. Black tobacco particles are visible within the overall dark brown-red appearance; moisture runs high straight from the tin, so airing before packing helps regulate the burn. The ribbon cut lights easily, doesn't overheat even with heavy smoking, and doesn't wet the inside of the pipe.

The dominant color in the taste is the Oriental leaf's spicy side; sweet Virginia builds a plain ground underneath, and Latakia remains as a cooling trace. It sits in a line close to the same maker's Red Rapparee, but noticeably lighter. It suits smokers looking for an all-day English blend that leaves a clean ash.
