Blossom Temptation is an aromatic blend in Rattray's Artist Collection line. Its base holds golden Virginia leaf, broken flake, and black Cavendish; a cherry-and-blackcurrant flavoring is applied on top. It is presented in a 100-gram tin decorated with a Japanese cherry-tree motif. The Rattray brand is Scottish in origin, though its tobaccos are produced today in Germany by Kohlhase & Kopp.
The cherry note is measured, reminiscent of bitten ripe fruit, and doesn't overwhelm the base tobaccos' taste; the blackcurrant undertone rounds out the fruitiness. Nicotine is low and the smoke is sweet. It suits smokers looking for cherry-flavored blends who want to steer clear of intense, sharp flavoring, as well as newcomers to aromatics.
