Buckingham

Buckingham belongs among Rattray's flavored blends. It is a ribbon-cut mixture bringing together black Cavendish, light and dark Virginia leaf, and Burley; walnut and Bourbon-vanilla flavoring is applied to the blend.

The flavoring is pronounced, but the tobacco body beneath it isn't erased: Virginia's sweetness and Burley's earthy fullness are felt throughout the smoke. Strength is medium. It suits fans of flavored tobacco as well as smokers who want real tobacco taste under the sugary flavoring. The Rattray name draws on the Scottish pipe-tobacco tradition; the brand's tobaccos are produced today in Germany.
