Malcolm Flake (Flake Collection)

Malcolm Flake, in Rattray's Flake Collection line, is a dark-colored, flavored flake tobacco prepared from Virginia, Burley, and Kentucky leaf. The slices are carefully cut and packed moist; its scent is reminiscent of pineapple-forward tropical fruit.

It lights easily even when moist; breaking up the slices and airing them makes the burn more even. One bowl lasts a long time, and the flavor becomes more pronounced as the pipe nears the bottom.
