Marlin Flake

Marlin Flake is a blend in which Virginia, black Cavendish, and Perique are pressed and cut into long slices. The slices are coiled into the tin; the color is a mottled dark brown, and the flakes are brittle. In the tin note, Cavendish's tangy sweetness overtakes Virginia.

It causes no trouble in packing or lighting, and burns evenly throughout the smoke. In the first half, Cavendish-driven sweetness dominates; in the second half Virginia's character becomes pronounced. Here Perique stays more a background depth element than a pronounced pepper accent. It suits smokers looking for a sweet Virginia-Perique flake with a high Cavendish share.
