Long Golden Flake

Long Golden Flake is a Virginia, Burley, and Perique blend released under the Reiner name. Its cut is long flake; reports note strips roughly 40 centimeters long and 4 centimeters wide, coiled and placed in an airtight tin. The moisture level straight from the tin is ready for smoking; if needed, sections can be cut from the coil with scissors for packing.

At the start of the smoke, Virginia's sweetness and Perique's peppery tone come forward; further in, Burley takes over to build a tangy body, and Perique recedes into the background. Nicotine is medium and flavor intensity between medium and high. The ash stays light gray; smoked quickly it doesn't gum up but is prone to heating the pipe.
