Alder Street

Alder Street is one of the house blends Rich's Cigar Store in Portland prepares in-house. It is built on dark-fired leaf and golden Cavendish, described as a light-bodied, distinctly scented mixture. It takes its name from the street where the shop is located.

Its Cavendish-heavy structure gives a sweetish, mellow smoke that burns without biting the tongue. It suits smokers looking for a blend on the aromatic side that isn't weighed down by fruit flavoring. It is available only in bulk at Rich's stores; most of these house blends were created over thirty years ago by the shop's head blender.
