Oriental Square

Oriental Square is a ribbon-cut blend combining matured dark and yellow Virginia leaves with latakia and Oriental tobaccos. The producer's description states the blend gives a balanced smoke with fine floral tones coming forward alongside the smokiness. The Oriental share is pronounced, as the name suggests; in this respect the blend leans toward the classic Balkan style.

Suited to smokers who don't want Latakia's smokiness to be overpowering and who seek the Oriental's sour, spicy side. It stays in the medium range for nicotine and flavor, making it suitable for long smoking sessions. The Robert McConnell name rests on an old English tobacco house; production is carried out today at the Kohlhase & Kopp facilities in Germany.
