Pure Latakia

Pure Latakia is sold on its own as one hundred percent Latakia leaf, presented as a ribbon cut. Latakia is an Oriental tobacco cured over smoke and used in blends to add depth and a layer of smokiness. McConnell offers this product as a blending tobacco for smokers who build their own mixtures.

Smoked alone it gives an intensely smoky, incense-like, earthy taste with a spicy sharpness; sugar content is low, so sweetness is almost entirely absent.
