The Original Pure Burley

Pure Burley is a product from Robert McConnell's single-varietal "Pure" series, made entirely of Burley leaf. Burley's characteristic dry, nutty, faintly cocoa-like taste comes through unflavored; with low sugar content it offers no sweetness, but carries more nicotine than Virginia.

At a near-dry moisture level it burns slow and cool, with little tendency to bite the tongue. It can be smoked on its own, but its main use is by smokers building their own blends: it adds body and fullness to Virginia mixtures and serves as a flavor-carrying base for aromatics. The brand is Belfast in origin; production continues today in Germany.
