Demerara Flake

Demerara Flake is a flake blend Samuel Gawith makes by processing Virginia leaf with demerara sugar and a rum-based casing, then pressing it. Its name comes from the dark raw cane sugar; pressing and slicing are done using traditional methods at the Kendal facility.

The casing is noticeable but not smothering; molasses and rum tones sit atop Virginia's bready sweetness. Nicotine is medium. Suited to smokers seeking a middle ground between unflavored Virginia flake and aromatic blends.
