Westmorland Mixture

Westmorland Mixture is a mixture named after Westmorland, the historic name of the region where Samuel Gawith was founded. Its composition holds light Virginia, black Cavendish, and a small amount of Latakia; the blend is finished with a lightly sweet citrus-and-tonquin top note. Although product descriptions refer to it as a Latakia blend, the Latakia ratio is low and does not play a decisive role in the blend.

On the smoke, the Cavendish's mild sweetness and the Virginia's light, bright line come forward; Latakia only leaves a fine smokiness in the background, and the top note gives the blend an aromatic tone close to the Lakeland style.
