Janus

Janus is a flake blend combining light-colored Virginia leaves with aged Oriental leaves of Turkish and Greek origin, with a small amount of perique added. According to records, part of the Oriental components is Basma tobacco. Although the brand is Italian, the blend is produced in the United States at the Cornell & Diehl facilities.

Its character balances Virginia sweetness with Oriental sharpness, deepened by a measured spice note from the perique. The flake slices burn cool. Suited to smokers seeking an unflavored tobacco taste, a medium-bodied blend on the Virginia-Oriental axis.
