Five Brothers, according to records, is a blend created over a century ago by the Finzer brothers, made entirely of air-cured burley leaf. Its cut is a very fine ribbon close to shag. It is produced today in Denmark and imported into the United States by Lane Limited.
The blend is unflavored; its taste carries a nutty, earthy, sharp burley character. It is heavy in nicotine with a pronounced fullness. Suited to experienced smokers seeking unflavored, strong classic shelf (OTC) burley blends; because of its fine cut, it needs to be packed loosely.
