Burrus Jaune

Burrus Jaune is the second member of the Swiss-origin Burrus pipe-tobacco trio. Like Bleu, it rests entirely on burley leaf and carries no flavor casing. The brand is now under Scandinavian Tobacco Group; the product is made in Denmark for the Swiss market and generally comes in pouch packaging.

Its profile is very close to Bleu's: dry, toasted-nut and hay tones, an unflavored sweetness, and medium fullness. According to records the difference between the two products is quite subtle, with Jaune described as slightly rounder. Suited to those accustomed to unflavored burley smoking and to those wanting to compare the Burrus series.
