Erinmore Latakia is a modern-style English mixture in which latakia, Oriental leaf, and black cavendish are added to a Virginia base. The Erinmore brand is Irish in origin; production is carried out today by Scandinavian Tobacco Group.
Latakia becomes noticeable midway through the smoke; black cavendish pulls the blend toward the sweet side, binding the components together. In this respect it departs from dry, soot-forward traditional English mixtures. Suited to smokers wanting to get to know Latakia-bearing blends while also wanting a sweet foundation.
