Yachtsman Plug

Yachtsman Plug is a classic plug tobacco continuing the Irish pipe-tobacco tradition; the brand is Irish in origin and is produced today under Scandinavian Tobacco Group. The blend's body is built from full-bodied, flue-cured Virginia leaf of African and Brazilian origin; burley is added to provide balance and mildness. The moistened mixture is slowly pressed for days in large steam presses, then divided into plugs.

Due to its presentation, the tobacco is a hard, tight block; it is sliced with a sharp knife and rubbed according to the smoker's preference. The sugars concentrated during pressing give a dark, bready, lightly fruity taste; nicotine load is above medium.
