Mississippi River Rum Barrel Aged

Mississippi River Rum Barrel Aged is a barrel-aged version of Seattle Pipe Club's classic Mississippi River recipe. The blend's skeleton is built on a balance of virginia, Oriental, latakia, and perique; after mixing, the tobacco is rested for thirty days in a used rum barrel. During this time, the leaf picks up traces of the rum and the oak.

The result is an English mixture that has gained a sweet depth while keeping the smoky Latakia together with Perique's plum-spice sharpness. Presented as a crumble cake, it is easy to prepare; a rum-barrel stave is added to the tin to help preserve the aromas. Aimed at experienced smokers seeking a full-bodied, smoky, lightly sweet mixture.
