Mount Rainier

Mount Rainier is a traditional English mixture in the American series bearing the Seattle Pipe Club name, blended by Joe Lankford. Selected Virginia leaves are combined with spicy Orientals; a generous share of Cyprus Latakia is added on top, bringing the dark leaf's smoky aroma forward. It is ribbon cut, in a structure suited to packing the bowl.

Latakia is pronounced on the first draws; as the bowl progresses, the lemony sweetness of the Virginia and the herbal spice of the Orientals separate out. Nicotine load is medium, flavor intensity balanced; it carries no additives. Suited to smokers familiar with Latakia blends or wanting to know the classic English mixture character without excessive heaviness.
