Puget Sound is one of the Seattle Pipe Club series' traditional English mixtures. A sweet Virginia base is joined by spicy Orientals and fragrant Latakia; a pinch of Perique is added for a peppery bite. It is ribbon cut.
The sweetness of the Virginia, the dry spice of the Orientals, and the smokiness of the Latakia are kept in proportions where none overpowers the others; the Perique adds a plum-and-pepper depth. Nicotine is medium, and the flavor intensity is close to that of the Latakia classics. Suited to smokers accustomed to English mixtures who want a spicier variation.
