Aberrant

Aberrant is an unflavored mixture prepared by Per Georg Jensen under Sutliff's Signature Series umbrella. What makes the blend unusual is the use of Nicotiana rustica leaf, which carries far higher nicotine than the customary Nicotiana tabacum, instead of it; red and light Virginias and dark fire-cured Kentucky accompany it.

On the palate, earth, wood, spice, and smoke notes are pronounced; the Virginias add a tangy-sweet citrus and dark-fruit tone, while Kentucky adds a smoky, walnut-like depth. Given the high nicotine strength, it's a record for experienced smokers accustomed to full-bodied mixtures.
