Basin Street Blues

Basin Street Blues, part of Sutliff's Private Stock line, takes its name from New Orleans' Basin Street and the jazz standard of the same name. It's coarse ribbon cut, made predominantly of brown Virginia and Virginia-derived cavendish leaves, with roughly one-fifth of the mix being black cavendish. It may come out of the package slightly moist.

The dominant flavor is caramel, accompanied by a measured black-cavendish touch in a vanilla direction. The Virginia-cavendish leaf gives the blend's sweetest, honey-like portion, leaving an herbal tone in the background. Nicotine is low, and it's structured for all-day smoking. Aimed at those seeking a sweet, non-heavy aromatic. It was discontinued along with the rest of the Private Stock line.
