Black Cavendish B20

Black Cavendish B20 is the cornerstone of Sutliff's bulk "B" line and consists entirely of black cavendish leaf. The leaves are darkened in the manner specific to the cavendish process, held under steam for an extended time under pressure; the maker describes this stage as a full day of steaming. The resulting leaf is soft, pliable, and moist. A soft, vanilla-heavy flavoring is applied on top.

The smoke carries no pronounced nicotine weight or sharpness; flavor stays flat, sweet, and creamy. This makes the blend useful in two ways: as a very light aromatic on its own, or as a component added to soften the sharpness of other blends and correct their moisture balance. This second use is common among smokers who blend their own tobacco. It's ribbon cut and sold in bulk.
