Black Cherry B23

Black Cherry B23 is a cherry-flavored blend in Sutliff's bulk "B" line. Its structure relies on Virginia leaves placed over a roasted black cavendish base; the cherry topping is kept measured, its fruit flavor not pushed to a syrupy intensity.

The cavendish base slows the burn and gives the tobacco a soft sweetness; Virginia establishes a light tart balance behind it. Nicotine is low, with little tendency to bite the tongue. Cherry aromatics have a long tradition in pipe tobacco, and B23 is a bulk-sold, everyday-use example of that tradition. It's ribbon cut.
