Blue Danube

Blue Danube is a Sutliff Private Stock blend named after Johann Strauss's famous waltz. Its composition includes bright golden cavendish, white burley, and sweet Virginia leaves; a rum-and-vanilla-direction flavoring is applied on top. Like the whole Private Stock line, this blend is built on the work of Carl McAllister, the brand's longtime master blender.

Using golden cavendish instead of black sets the blend's color and taste apart from classic dark aromatics: the sweetness stays lighter and brighter, while white burley adds a dry body. With low nicotine, it's structured for all-day smoking. Suited to smokers seeking a non-heavy rum-vanilla aromatic. It was sold as ribbon-cut bulk and is no longer in production.
