Crumble Cake Limited Edition No 6 Phantom Privateer

Phantom Privateer is the sixth limited edition in Sutliff's barrel-aged Crumble Kake series. Real perique grown and processed in Louisiana's St. James parish is added to red Virginia and black cavendish leaves; the blend is rested in a rum barrel for roughly eighty days before being pressed and sliced.

The sweet, spicy depth from the barrel combines with perique's peppery fruitiness; cavendish forms a soft base. The crumbly cake-form cut is broken apart by hand before packing the bowl. Being a limited edition, it is not in continuous production.
