Maple Shadows

Maple Shadows is an autumn-themed aromatic Sutliff released as a limited edition only in eight-ounce tins. The leading component of the blend is fire-cured Kentucky leaf, accompanied by nutty, bready burley and a lightly tart-citrus Virginia. The maple syrup sauce applied on top doesn't smother the leaves but adds a measured sweetness.

In body it sits above typical light aromatics: notes of earth, wood, herb, and spice stand out clearly alongside the sweetness. The topping's effect fades somewhat in the second half of the bowl, letting leaf character come forward. Aimed at smokers who like the smoky weight of fire-cured tobacco but don't want a fully unflavored blend.
