Match Kentucky Club Aromatic

Match Kentucky Club Aromatic is Sutliff's version of Kentucky Club Mixture, a blend that stayed on the market for many years. It has a burley-based structure; Virginia, Oriental leaf, and a small amount of perique are added, with a light, fruity casing applied over it. This composition places it at the boundary of "aromatic American-English."

On the smoke, burley carries the tobacco taste, giving a sweetish, nutty base. Perique adds very little spice, and Oriental adds a light woody tone; the casing doesn't overpower the tobacco. Nicotine and taste intensity are below medium, and tendency toward tongue bite is low. It suits those who want a measured casing that preserves the tobacco taste, rather than pronouncedly cased aromatics.
