Match Mapleton

Match Mapleton is Sutliff's counterpart to a classic maple-cased aromatic. Black cavendish is added to a burley and Virginia base, with a maple-forward casing applied over it. The casing's character shows a kinship with maple-cased blends of the same family, such as the Amphora Red type.

On the smoke, maple leads along with a light floral tone accompanying it; a small amount of vanilla from the black cavendish can be sensed. Burley emerges from within the casing especially in the second half of the bowl, while Virginia leaves only a light grassy edge. It burns cool and dry, with little need for relighting. It suits those wanting a sweet but not heavy aromatic.
