RL-4 is one of the unflavored blends in Sutliff's bulk line. Latakia and Perique are added to a burley base and offered ribbon cut; no flavoring casing is applied.

Burley gives a nutty, dry body, Latakia brings smoke, and Perique adds a peppery accent. Nicotine is moderate; it is aimed at smokers wanting smoke and spice while avoiding heavy Latakia bombs.
