Rum Raisin D57

D57 Rum Raisin is one of the long-running blends in Sutliff's bulk aromatic line. Its base contains soft burley, light Virginia, and unflavored black cavendish; some descriptions note a small amount of Turkish leaf added as well. A rum- and raisin-based flavoring is applied over it; the rum note is more pronounced than the raisin.

Burley builds the blend's body and gives a molasses-like, near-cocoa depth; Virginia leaves a grassy, citrusy line in the background. Because the flavoring is applied in measured amounts, the tobacco taste isn't erased. It burns cool and even, with nicotine strength a bit above light. It suits smokers looking for a cased aromatic that isn't heavy on sugar.
