Spiced Rum #704

Spiced Rum #704 is one of the best-known blends in Sutliff's bulk aromatic line. Selected Virginia, burley, and black cavendish leaves are brought together; a spiced-rum-based flavoring is applied over them. Alongside the rum note, the casing carries a spice accent recalling cinnamon and clove, with a light vanilla line as well.

Black cavendish gives the blend softness and a sugary base, burley builds the body, and Virginia provides a sweet balance in the background. The ribbon cut gives a cool, even burn; because moisture is high, a brief airing before packing may be needed. Nicotine strength is low and taste is medium. It suits those looking for a pronouncedly cased, sweet, spiced aromatic.
